What a beautiful stuff!
A bootleger in boston "Lenlow" made a great one "Imagine Wild Music", which mixed John Lennon's "Imagine", Lou Reed's "Walk on the wild side" with G. Love & Special Sauce's "Blues Music". That's the best one I've heard for a week. Thanks Lenlow and you should listen to this mash-up right now.

Here's Fatboy Slim's brand-new gig mix mp3.



It seems that this is the mix mp3 which was recorded the radio program of the dance event "Rock Ness", which were also featured DJs Mylo and Carl Cox, on 24th of June 2006.
According to BBC web site, about 20,000 revellers converged on the banks of the loch on Saturday for the gig which was headlined by Fatboy Slim. In addition, Norman Cook said "unable to find a suitable beach back home, we went looking further afield. Bondi in Australia, and Bahia in Brasil came up trumps. So we tried Brighton again, and they just weren't having it. Then our friends in Northern Ireland invited us to play Port Rush beach".

He played some favorite acid house and breaks tunes, and besides, lots of mash-ups alike in Japan Tour in May 2006.
This mp3 has poor sound quality, however you could be able to enjoy it.

これは、スコットランドのネス湖の辺で先週末に行われた
音楽イベント"The Rock Ness"でのイベント音源です。
Fatboy Slimの他にも、MyloやCarl CoxなどもDJとして参加したもよう。

もともと、このイベントは、ブライトンビーチの延長線上のもので、
これまでもブラジルやオーストラリアのビーチでイベントを行ってきた
ノーマンクックですが、本人曰く、ブライトンでもう一度イベントをやろう
と思ったのらしいのですが、ブライトンビーチ側からの許可がおりず、
そんな時にノーマンの友人から、この場所へのお誘いがあったもよう。
イギリスBBCのサイトによると、当日は約20000人の集客があったんだとか。

この音源自体は、かなり音が悪いのですが、先日日本で行われた
時のセットとかなり似ているので、十分に楽しめる内容かと思います。

It was quite amazing!
According to THE BOOTIE BLOG, Team9, who is the Austrialian half of Dean Gray, has released nearly 30 minute set of original and unique mashup, and it was aired on Eddie Temple Morris' show "The Remix" on XFM.
The mix includes his brilliant mash "The Money Song (Hard Fi vs RHCP vs The Flying Lizards vs ABBA vs JayZ)", and it is very nice. I guess this is a fine piece of work in 2006.

Hi mate!
Today, the reason I'm posting on this site is to tell you about our party. Do you know that my friends and I have organized a DJ-party every other month? We play many kinds of music all-night, for instance 60's to 00's Rock, Pop, Jazz & Funk, of course your favorite mash-up & bootleg Music, and so on. The party is on the 24th of June. I'd like to invite you to come to the event because I think this is the last one I'm able to go to before going abroad. It's at a bar called "Roots" in Shibuya, which is near the Shibuya Post Office. You can get more details by the following link(www.toos.co.jp/roots). The bar has a good atmosphere and a homely feel. Also, it's open from 11pm to 5am and the entrance fee is 2,000yen, but I might be able to get a discount if you like. In addition, the first 30 persons will probably able to get my special CD.

By the way, It seems that he might come to Japan in October and play in the Sonarsound Tokyo 2006 at Yebisu The Garden Hall. What a surprise! It will probably be a great treat for Japanese to see him.

A great musician Billy Preston, sometimes referred to as the fifth Beatle, died last Tuesday at age 59.

He was the man widely regarded as the real fifth Beatle after he played keyboards on Let It Be, The White Album and Abbey Road and was the only non-Beatle apart from George Martin to get a co-writing credit on a Beatles album. Also he played Rolling Stones tracks including Can't You Hear Me Knocking? and on many of Sly and The Family Stone's greatest hits.

This is a mash-up a bootlegger MP3J made to pay a high tribute to a person and is made up from The Beatles's Get Back and Billy's Get Back.
It's a tasteful and nice stuff. Cheers MP3J.

シンガーソングライター＆キーボーディストとして知られる
Billy Prestonが先週の6日、アリゾナの病院にて息をひきとりました。
享年59才でした。

5人目のビートルズ」という呼び名をも持つ彼は、Let it Beや
Abbey Roadといった歴史的作品に参加。その他にもJohn Lennonのソロ作品や
Eric ClaptonやSly & the Family Stoneとの競演、そしてRolling Stonesの
ツアーにも参加していました。

そんな彼の訃報をうけ、イギリスのブートレガーMP3Jが、
BeatlesのGet Backと、Billy PrestonのGet Backをコラボレートさせた
渋いマッシュアップをつくってくれました。
いいです。言葉はいりません。

[Video Mash-Up] Gnarls Barkley VS. Avalanches

Cheekboy/Laptoppunk, who had made one of the best mash-up of this year "CrAzY aVaLaNcHeS (Gnarls Barkley VS. Avalanches)", has also released the video mash-up of CrAzY aVaLaNcHeS.

Originally, it can be clearly seen that Gnarles Barkley's and Avalanches's video are a lovely ones and I guess that this video mash-up is also brilliant one.

ような作品に仕上がっているかと思います。

[Mash-Up] R.E.M VS. Elvis Costello

I guess that I listened to the Elvis Costello's mash-up for the first time. The bootlegger "dj_peaking", who comes from Australia, takes subtle blend of R.E.M track 'Stand' with Elvis Costello superb 'How To Be Dumb'.
dj_peaking said that "both songs are very similar musically and lyrically and they are two great songs as well". You're quite right, also I think this is a great mash-up.
