[Mash-Up] Arctic Monkeys VS. Michael Jackson

This might be one of the greatest Monkeys' mashups I've ever listened. The stuff TimG created mixed the most youngest headliner in Glastonbury "Arctic Monkeys" with "Michael Jackson".


いよいよグラストンベリーが来週に迫り期待が高まる、史上最年少ヘッドライナー「Arcric Monkeys」ネタのマッシュアップ。その中でもかなりハイクオリティなのがこれ。イギリスのTimGによるMichael Jacksonとのブレンドですが、かなり絶妙にミックスされており、相性も抜群なので、とてもナチュラルな仕上がりになっています。

[Mash-Up] The Sex Pistols VS. Madonna

Mark Vidler, Go Home Productions, announced he has re-released his historical tracks 'Pistol Whipped EP' on the website. Originally this vinyl EP was firstly released in March 2004 on the Half Inch Recordings label. Initially, A main track "Ray Of Gob" he created for GYBO, which mixed 'Ray Of Light' with 'Pretty Vacant', was played by some DJ's on XFM in the UK and clubs and getting popular. Now, it's available for the first time as mp3's and downloading 7 tracks.

Also, his current remix will be included the new Soundtrack Remix album for the Japanese film Tekkonkinkreet, which the original soundtrack for the film was by Plaid. This remix CD will be added a special trailer produced by 'Addictive TV', one of world's top VJs.



Go Home ProductionsことMark Vidler氏が、2004年にリリースされたセックスピストルズとマドンナのマッシュアップ「Pistol Whipped EP」のMP3をウェブ上に公開しています。シングルトラックとなった「Ray of Gob」は、元々GYBO用に作られたトラックでしたが、イギリスのXFMやDJ達の間で人気が出て、2004年3月にレコードとして発売されました。その後も人気が高かったようで、今回初めてMP3として彼のウェブサイトに公開されたようです。

また、GHPは6月下旬に発売される予定の「鉄コン筋クリートREMIX」でもリミックスを１曲提供したようです。このリミックスアルバムには、特典として、2004年のVJコンテストNo.1の「Addictive TV」によるマッシュアップ・トレーラーも含まれているようです。そちらの方もかなり楽しみです。

[Mash-Up] The White Stripes VS. Led Zeppelin

This is another White Stripes' stuff created by DJ Zebra, one of most successful bootleggers. He blended "Icky thump" with Led Zeppelin's "Whole lotta love" added tones of guitars, keyboard and drums played by him. It's marvellous and great combination.

フランスを代表するブートレガーDJ Zebraによる、White Stripesのもう一つのマッシュアップ。Icky ThumpにLed ZeppelinのWhole lotta love、そしてゼブラ自身によるドラム、ギター、キーボードサウンドを加わっています。先日紹介したビートルズとのマッシュアップも良かったのですが、これはこれで、とても良いバランスの組み合わせで個人的にはかなり気に入っています。また、ゼブラのホームページからは、Arctic Monkeysネタのブレンドを含む他４トラックをダウンロードすることができます。

[Mash-Up] Kitsune Maison Mashed Album

ElectroSound, from France, has released an amazing project which is "KITSUNE MAISON MASHED ALBUM". As you know, Kitsune is French electronic music record label created by Gildas who is an ex-Daft Punk manager and Masaya who is Japanese in 2002. This mashed album consisted of 12 great tracks which contained Gossip, Adam Sky, Alex Gopher, Whip and Digitalism. This is a really really good work. I honour ElectroSound. Thanks.

これは、現在、人気絶頂の音楽レーベルKitsune所属のGossip, Adam Sky, Alex Gopher, Whip and Digitalismといったアーティストのトラックをマッシュアップ化。それらを寄せ集め、Kitsune人気の原動力となったコンピレーションアルバム「Kitsune Maison」をモチーフとした「Kitsune Maison Mashed Album」を制作したというもの。とても面白い内容で、全１３曲は聞き応えも抜群です。
