SOULWAX's documentary film“Part of the Weekend Never Dies”has already been up now and they will tour to celebrate the launch of the new clubbing movie within the UK.
Director Saam Farahmand filmed Soulwax on their recent international dates, capturing all the excitement, chaos and humour of the world tour . Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, Soulwax filmed 120 shows with one camera in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia. This resulted in 2 films; a live music film and a documentary which includes 2manydj's, Soulwax Nite Versions and features James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné, Klaxons and many more in behind the scenes footage, interviews and LOTS of music.
To follow the premiere showing of the film in London, Radio Soulwax will be touring venues across Europe for five weeks from April 24 and these dates will include a limited chance for some fans to come to a preview of the film in each city where there is a show. オフィシャルサイトによると、監督Saam Farahmandがsoulwax/2many dj'sのワールドツアーに同行、混沌・興奮するパーティの様子がたっぷりとおさめられているようです。ビースティーズが先日、観客５０人にカメラを渡し、観客視点で描いたドキュメンタリーフィルムを公開しましたが、こちらは、日本を含むEU、US、オーストラリア公演等、１２０カ所のライブを１つのカメラで撮り上げた渾身の作品。映画には、2manydj'sをはじめ Soulwax Nite Versions and features James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné, Klaxons等のライブシーン、舞台裏やインタビューも含まれている様子。
日本国内でも近日中に公開されることになると思います。
