[Mash-Up] Fake Blood VS. Purple Ribbon All-Stars

Everyone believes that Fake Blood's "Mars" is absolutely this summer's anthem. Its track is really cool but some thinks that there is the lack of vocals. Party Ben is one of them, made a mash-up which mixed Fake Blood with Purple Ribbon. I personally think he should have re-edited it more but still good stuff.


今年の夏のアンセム、Fake BloodのMars。単体でも、相当かっこ良いトラックですが、中にはそれでは物足りない人も。中でもParty Benは、Vocalトラックが足りないのでは、と思って実際に、Purple Ribbonとのマッシュアップを制作。個人的には、ただただボーカルを乗せるだけではなく、トラック自体をもっといじっても良かったのでは、とも思いますが、これはこれで良くできていると思います。

SOULWAXのドキュメンタリームービーである「Part of The Weekend Never Die」のDVD、海外では既に発売されているもののなぜか日本では発売延期となっています。おそらく翻訳作業が滞っているのではないかと思うのですが。。こちらがそのトレイラーです。




また、You Tubeでは、同DVDのイントロ部分が既にアップされています。こちら、Ed Bangerのデザインを手がけるSoMeが担当しており、かなりクールなものになっています。





僕は実際にイギリスでこのドキュメンタリーを見たのですが、おそらくこの上記２つのYou Tubeのビデオが、このDVDのハイライトであるような気がします。海外での評価もいまいちで、トレイラーが良かっただけに、内容のなさにがっかり、といった反応が多いようです。






それはさておき、2 Many DJ's関連のライブ音源が２本出てきました。
一本目はイギリスのリバプール郊外で８月末に行われたCreamfieldsでのライブ音源。僕は当日現地に足を運び、ライブで見ていたのですが、
実際のライブはこの音源の２倍くらいの長さでした。

もう一本は、先週Pure FMの番組に出演した時の音源。番組自体はフランス語？のため、まったくわかりませんが。。。番組内容としては、ラジオの番組側が予め用意しておいて６０曲の中から、好きな曲を選んで１時間でミックスをしてください、と２Many DJ'sにお願いした番組の企画のようです。というわけで、割とツナギも雑な感じになっていますが、曲の構成は、RadioSoulwaxなんかに近い元来の彼ららしい音源に仕上がっており、個人的にはこういうの大好きです。
