A quick warning for all DJ's, don't buy the Bonkers Remixes 12" which was recently released (and for sale here).
Labelled as 'Soulwax / David Dewaele Remix' it is in fact the Soulwax edit BUT it's the low quality live version from Blowpop in Swindon.
Besides the low quality, it also contains a BBC Radio One jingle, so you can't play this record out.

というわけで、これまでも2Many DJs/Soulwax周りでブート版は数多くありましたが（そもそも自分らもブートからスタートしていますが）、今回の１２インチはかなりひどいので、掲載しておきました。
日本のレコ屋でも既に数軒で売られていますが、自己判断と自己責任でお願いします。

Who the fuck are Too Much DJs?
Are they a dj unit like 2 Many DJs? Are they a group of music producers/remixers? Or are they porky guys who love junk food?
Yes, all of them are true.
They are a unit of three DJs, play together at the DJ booth and spin any kind of music which is not only Dance Music but also Jazz, Japanese Pop, even Classic (check the following preview mix). I mean that they mix wider range of music than 2 Many DJs and more focus on Pop-Dance Music . They will do actively near future, so follow them on their myspace.




クラブの常識を「Too Much DJs」が覆す？

Too Much DJsは、都内で活躍するDJ3人によるユニット。これまで、２人組DJは数多くいれども、三人組DJはおそらく初？　そして、バックグラウンドが異なる３人からなるToo Much DJsは、その違いを生かしながら、かなり多彩な音楽をミックス。さらに、３人ならではの、１人DJ、２人組DJには出来なかったスピードプレイ、音がより一層厚いプレイも可能に。
要するに、2 Many DJsよりも音楽の幅が広く、多彩なミックスを実現するのが、Too Much DJsだそうです。J-POPからClassicまで、とにかく皆が知っている曲をカッコ良くミックスして、フロアを揺らすことが目標とのこと（一部のライブ音源が聴けます）。

DJ Hero is a music video game developed by FreeStyleGames released in October.
Wikipedia said that

DJ Hero will primarily simulate Turntablism, and will feature score attack gameplay similar to the Guitar Hero games. The controller will consist of a wireless deck consisting of a movable Turntable that supports 3 "stream" buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader, and a "Euphoria" button; a hidden panel will contain additional controller buttons to interact with the gaming console outside of the game.

日本では発売未定のゲーム「DJ Hero」は、アメリカで一世を風靡したGuitar HeroというゲームのDJ版です。専用のターンテーブルとミキサーがコントローラーになり、さまざまな曲をミックスして、オーディエンスを躍らせるというゲーム。デモを見る限りでは、ミックスというよりもマッシュアップに近い感じです。

このゲームのすごいところは、100曲以上のトラックを使用しており、それをゲームではうまくミックスしていくのを競うのですが、そのオリジナルのミックスには、DJ ShadowやGrandmaster Flash、DJ Yoda、そしてダフトパンクまで参加するとか（Tiestoにもオファーを出したが断られたようです）。

DJ Zebra, a French DJ/Mashup creator, has released a concept album in honour of the WoodStock 40th Anniv. It contains several 60's woodstock sounds mashed by indie and pop music.
There are also video-mashups featured WoodStock movies and a non-stop mix available.

当時の音源を用いながら、PeachesやFBSなどとブレンドしてます。

今週土曜日は、八王子でDJです。

八王子で唯一のスタンドバー「niji」にて行われている大好評企画、
Niji Music Festival (NMF)に呼ばれました。
今週土曜日は、ちょうど八王子祭りですので、おそらく盛り上がること必須です。

通常は、3000円で飲み放題・食べ放題ですが、
今回は通常のキャッシュオンサービスも行われるようですので、
お祭りの前後に、フラッと立ち寄るということもできそうです。

Yes, it's true and Japanese Indie artists, YMCK and Tigarah are included.
Borderless and genreless. Recommend this stuff to someone who starts going off electro music.


久しぶりにDJ RikoのMixが到着。
彼曰く、英語だけでなく、スペイン語、日本語、ドイツ語、フランス語、ペルシャ語などのボーカルの曲、ボーカルサンプリングを使用したとのこと。
確かに、8bitサウンドで話題となったYMCKや最近ついに日本デビューしたTigarahのマッシュアップなどが入ってます。
国境だけでなく、サウンドはDJ Rikoらしいジャンルレスなオールミックスになっています。
エレクトロに飽き始めている人には新鮮かもしれません。
