[My Stuff] Best of 2009: iGot mix

I have finaly completed my new dj mix including my 41 favourite tunes released in 2009.

Because I think the mix is composed of lots of major tracks, it's easy for electric music beginners to listen to this one or for those to listen to 2009's hits once more.

[RePost] DJ homma's Old Stuff #1

I found a nice music storage yesterday and decided to repost my some old mixtapes there.
The first repost today is the mix recorded in July 2006 for an 1st anniversary of my blog iGot. The quality is not very good in particular mixing tracks, but this is a real dj mix somewhere in the club, no CDJs, no PCs, only two decks and 20 vinyls. Also, there are lots of popular tracks from Kitsune and EdBanger records in the mix.. I might be keen on those kinds of music at the time....
However, this is still one of my favourite mix and hope this will bring you back old memories...
The next old mixes will be released soon.



昨日、soundcloudという音楽専用ストレージを見つけたので、リンク切れになっていたミックスを少しずつアップしていきたいと思ってます。
まずはじめに、ちょうど３年まえに、iGotの１周年記念用に作成したミックスです。実は、このミックスは、どっかのクラブで録音したライブ盤だったんですが、けっこう自分的には気にいっていたんで、公開した気がします。なんで、実はかなりつなぎが甘かったりします。またKitsuneとかEdBanger系の音源ばかりで、当時の嗜好がモロに出ていたりするんですが、いま聞いてみるとけっこう懐かしかったりしますね、たかが３年前なんですが。。。

[My Stuff] iGot 3rd Anniversary Vol.2

Here is the second mix of iGot 3rd Anniversary. Actually, this one is quite old mix recorded in 1999 or 2000 (I cannot remember). The concept was Big-Beat/Breakbeats, including a few track of Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers. Because it was ripped from the tape, the quality of sound is not well. But, this one is still one of my favourite mixes, and hopefully the sound of BigBeat/Breakbeats will be fresh for you.


iGot３周年記念ミックス第２弾。今回は、１９９９年（または２０００年）に録音された、当時ブームだったBig-Beat/Breakbeatsを中心とした選曲になっており、当時大好きだったFatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothersのトラックを中心に構成されています。もともとミックステープに録音したものをＭＰ３化したので、音質はあまり良いとは言えないのですが、個人的にはかなり上手くできたと思っているミックスで、今聴くとBig-Beat/Breakbeatsもかなり新鮮に聴こえてくるので、きっと楽しめると思います。

[iGot iMix #01] Sounds for 2008

　　


This is my latest dj-mix which focuses on stuff that will be a great hit this year. In 2008, firstly, I think the early 1990's sounds such as Italo disco, Euro disco will revive. Crazy Forg's appearance would be the sign of the revival.
Also, I suppose "We are Terrorists" and "Blamma! Blamma!", the new generation artists which have not signed any lavels, may be possibly hit markers.
Finally, it is quite possible that last year's remarkable bands such as "La Priset", "Late Of The Pier", "Asobi Seksu" and "The Teenagers" will be a smash.
So, this is the mix with a mixture of my expectation and anticipation.

2008年一発目のミックスは、今年流行するであろうサウンドを集めてみました。　個人的には、今年は80年代後半から90年代前半のイタロディスコやユーロディスコ（ユーロビート）のようなジャンルが来ると思っています。　また、"We are Terrorists" や"Blamma! Blamma!"といったまだレーベルと契約していないような隠れたアーティストも、今年はアタるような気がします。さらに、"La Priset"、 "Late Of The Pier"、 "Asobi Seksu"、 "The Teenagers"など、昨年火が付き始めたバンドも、今年辺り一気にヒットするのではと睨んでいます。というわけで、期待と予想が入り交じったミックスになっています。　よかったら、聞いてみてください。

[My Stuff] Freaks VS. Reel 2 Real

Freaks's "The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor)" has been a great hit in the UK. This song was originally released by the Freaks in 2003 but remixed by Vandalism a few month ago. What's more, it seems that the mash-up featuring a creepy vocal voice has been done.

The Freaks's "The Creeps (Vandalism remix)" was included in my own dj mix "iGot mix in April 2007". But this is the mash-up mixed with Reel 2 Real. What a casual consensus! You can grab my mash-up via My Space.


イギリスで現在人気のFreaksの"The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor)"。もともとは、2003年に発表された曲が、最近急上昇中のVamdalismによってリミックスされ、さらにVocalがフューチャーされたマッシュアップが作成され、今回の大ヒットに繋がった模様。

The Freaksの"The Creeps (Vandalism remix)"は、今年4月につくったミックス「iGot mix in April 2007」の中に、Reel 2 Realとのマッシュアップで収録していた曲。まさか、こんなところでこの曲がヒットするなんて思ってもいませんでしたが。MySpaceからFreaks VS. Reel 2 Realネタを試聴・ダウンロードすることができます。

Thankfully, two years have passed since I started this blog "iGot". Recently, due to be hectic, I can hardly post new articles on iGot. I guess the articles will be posted irregularly from now on but hope you will support and enjoy my blog.

To memorialise the 2nd anniversary, I created two hours' djmix recently. First of all, I will release the first half of the mix.
I was a bit conscious of UK's hit charts and the recent music trend in this mix. Hope everybody will enjoy listening to this one. One of these days, I will post the another half of the mix.

[My mix] iGot Mix in April 2007

I just finished making my latest mix.
Mainly, it consisted of my favorite electro trucks plus some mash-ups I introduced before and a few mash-ups I made. Also, I played these stuff at the clubs frequently.
This time I selected several remix tunes. In my opinion, these remixes are greater than original stuff. In particular,
Missy's "We Run This" remixed by Duke Dumont is awesome!!
I hope you like it.


久しぶりに自身のmixを公開します。
個人的にいま最も好きな音を詰め込みました。主にエレクトロが多いですが、ここでも紹介したマッシュアップに加え、このために制作した２つのマッシュアップもミックスしました。
また、今回はリミックスネタが豊富になってます最近のリミックスはオリジナルを上回るほどの良い出来の作品が多く、特にMissy Elliotの「We Run This」をDuke Dumontがリミックスしたものなど、本当に感動的な出来映えだと思っています。

This is my own DJmix which mixed my top favorite tunes I have listened to mash-ups and bootlegs for this year so far.

I mixed one of current favorite tunes "Yeah Yeah (D Ramirez Remix)" by Bodyrox with "The Game in Rio" by Tigarah.
This aimed for club and mash-up DJs.

Also, this is a copy of the stuff Fatboy slim was playing at Bondi Beach Australia. He was also spinning this mash-up at the Tokyo gig this month. I think this is his own mash-up and not be sold one, and so I've made it. Hope you like it and welcome your feedback!
