先月末にポルトガルで行われたパーティ「Nova Era Beach Party」。そのパーティに出演していた2 Many DJ'sとTiestoのライブセットです。同国のラジオにて放送されていたもので、かなりMCの人がところどころ中断しています。ので、聞きにくいんですが、雰囲気はかなり伝わってきます。

Weezer, will play at the FujiRock Festival in coming Sunday, goes 8-Bit. A video game music net-label called Pterodacty Squad has released Weezer's 8-bit compilation album.
This is featuring a total of 14 Weezer covers from an all-star line-up of video game musicians, this is one 8-bit album you need to have in your collection. Included are some of the band's biggest hits, as well as some of their lesser known pieces, but all reworked in dazzling 8-bit fashion..
In my opinion, this album is not superb work, but some tracks are my favourite ones like El Scorcho, In the Garage and We are All on Drugs. Anyway, this is available for free download!



今週フジロック最終日のトリでもあるWeezerを8bitのゲームサウンドでリミックスしたアルバムが登場。海外のゲームミュージックのネットレーベル「Pterodacty Squad」というところがつくったようです。
手放しで最高とは言い難いですが、El Scorcho、 In the Garage、 We are All on Drugsが個人的には好きでした。

This is 2 Many DJ's interview and live mix on XFM, UK's radiostation. There are a 10-minutes interview and a one-hour DJ set. The live is almost same as last Sunday's one but what I am very concerned about is that there is a great speed mix/edit like the "As Heard as Radio Soulwax" at the first part of the set. Also, the interview is quite interested.

これは、イギリスのXFMを録音したもので、前半10分はインタビュー、後半1時間がライブ音源となっています。
インタビューでは、同ラジオに約８年ぶりに出演した二人が、この８年間のハイライトを語ったり、フジロックでの思い出や、Soulwaxと2 Many DJ'sのモチベーションの違い、Any Minite Now とNite Versionの売上の違いなど、なかなか興味深いインタビューになっています。

This is a mix of Ed Banger Crew (Pedro Winter, Medhi, So-Me, Xavier (Justice) and David Dewaele (2 Many Dj's) at Cinespace, LA, on 1st May 2007. In fact, the mix they did is not so good, but there are ace selections of music, such as the first song "Where is my mind" by Pixies. [DJ Mix] Post Punk Dub Funk Junk Spunk Dance Mixture

GHP has released a new short mix "Post Punk Dub Funk Junk Spunk Dance Mixture", which aired on the John Kennedy XFM X-Posure show on 22th Feb. This mix consists of Disco Punk, Post Punk and Dub mainly, as the title said. This one is not a Mash-Up mix, but I love it.
By the way, his new album "Mashed" entered the UK album charts at No18 and sat on top of the Amazon bestsellers compilations for a while, according him. Great well done, Mark.

また、先週発売された公式マッシュアップ・コンピレーション「Mashed」が、UKアルバムチャートで18位に入ったとのこと。また、Amazonのコンピレーション部門では、１位にもなったそうです。

ここ日本ではあまり話題にも上りませんが、
本国 UK ではその人気はすさまじい人気の彼女たち。

そんな UK の人気者"Sugababes"が、これまた UK 中をいま虜にしている
末恐ろしき北極の猿ども"Arctic Monkeys"をカバー。
驚異的なセールスを記録したデビューアルバム"Whatever People Say I Am,
That's Not What I'm Not"にも収録されていて、
彼らのデビューシングルでもある"I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor"を
なんとも原曲に忠実にカバーしています。

おそらくライブかなんかでやったのでしょうか。
これまた、なかなか、ステキです。
