Martinn's awesome summer mash-up here.

The title is very pretentious, but the source track titles kind of justify it . Wether it is really that great musically is up to you to decide.

Anayway I tried to make the Madonna tracks '4 Minutes' and 'Music' (of which I think is a torture for the ears) listenable by adding some classic Sister Sledge disco flowing into the summergrooves of DJ Jazzy Jeff (which he sampled from Kool&The Gang)

YOMOYA, a Japanese alternative rock/post/electronic band including my former band member, launches a deubt album in 4th of June. Now it is available to download a free song from iTunes Music Store Japan, if you have an account.

６月４日に初のファーストアルバムを発売することになったYOMOYA。そのうちの１曲「You Know, Why Not」が、iTunes Music Storeの今週の
シングルに選ばれており、iTMSのアカウントを持っていれば、誰でもダウンロードすることができます。

２００３年に結成後、オルタナティブで、エレクトロニカだけど、どこか哀愁漂うそのサウンドで、都内のライブハウスにて話題に。MOGWAIとも友好の深いスコットランドのARAB STRAPのジャパンツアーサポートや、Zoobombsのフロントマンであるドン・マツオのバックバンドなど多岐にわたる活動。2008年６月、HER SPACE HOLIDAYやJOAN OF ARCなどの国外アーティスト、国内ではfolk squatやnhhmbaseなどを輩出する＆ recordsより、1stアルバム「YOURS OURS」をリリース。

SOULWAX's documentary film“Part of the Weekend Never Dies”has already been up now and they will tour to celebrate the launch of the new clubbing movie within the UK.

Director Saam Farahmand filmed Soulwax on their recent international dates, capturing all the excitement, chaos and humour of the world tour . Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, Soulwax filmed 120 shows with one camera in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia. This resulted in 2 films; a live music film and a documentary which includes 2manydj's, Soulwax Nite Versions and features James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné, Klaxons and many more in behind the scenes footage, interviews and LOTS of music.

To follow the premiere showing of the film in London, Radio Soulwax will be touring venues across Europe for five weeks from April 24 and these dates will include a limited chance for some fans to come to a preview of the film in each city where there is a show. Info about the line up for these dates and a chance to get the double film and event tickets will appear first on our site so keep an eye on the news and tour sections in the next week (Soulwax website)

オフィシャルサイトによると、監督Saam Farahmandがsoulwax/2many dj'sのワールドツアーに同行、混沌・興奮するパーティの様子がたっぷりとおさめられているようです。ビースティーズが先日、観客５０人にカメラを渡し、観客視点で描いたドキュメンタリーフィルムを公開しましたが、こちらは、日本を含むEU、US、オーストラリア公演等、１２０カ所のライブを１つのカメラで撮り上げた渾身の作品。映画には、2manydj'sをはじめ Soulwax Nite Versions and features James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné, Klaxons等のライブシーン、舞台裏やインタビューも含まれている様子。
